The dream of owning my own studio blossomed in 2007, when I purchased a century farmhouse with attached studio space and ready-made parking lot. My strongly established student base came from years of teaching at senior recreation centres in Oakville, Burlington, Hamilton and Ancaster. Classes were also held in various fitness clubs, along with private facility demonstrations,
As teacher and choreographer, highly successful recitals were held, giving my students the chance to showcase their talents in a cultural atmosphere, with Middle Eastern decor and food. Many students also enjoyed the experience of performing at various cultural events…Burlington’s Sound of Music Festival, Lebanese pavilion at Carassauga, Pagan Harvest Festival in Hamilton, & more (e.g. senior residences, stroke recovery group, hospitals) My advanced dancers performed also at weddings and restaurants.
The studio was a haven to all, and I feel incredibly blessed for the joyful years there. It was a difficult decision to close in 2014, but small classes continued at Arcade Dance Studio until Covid put a halt to everything.
